SINGAPORE: SENTOSA

We started the trip by hitting up the largest shopping mall in Singapore called Vivo City located in the HarbourFront precinct. I wanted to spend a few good hours rummaging sales but we had a very limited time.

There is a lovely rooftop water pool at Vivo City's Sky Park on the third level that we stumbled across while poking around in the mall looking for the Sentosa Express Station. We couldn't pass a chance without taking a picture of this water play area.

We were able to find the booth beside Food Republic and got the Sentosa Pass at S$3 per person. We hopped on the cute monorail which took us to Imbiah Lookout, our first stop at Sentosa.

Here we first met the 37-metre tall resident, The Merlion. We pranced around under the gleaming afternoon sun and I ended up sweating buckets. Anyway, we took photographs as we could.

Riding the Luge at Sentosa has always been incredibly fun. And this time we opted the Luge's second track - the 688 metres Dragon Trail. This new track is even more elevated and thrilling with its tighter corners and numerous turns compared to the 650 metres Old Jungle Trail. If you're a newbie, try the old trail first. Luge and Skyride combo is around S$12/person or you can also purchase multiple trips.

By the time we finished the Luge and Skyride adventure we were starving! Went to McDonald's and sat outside despite the blistering sun, but at least the breezy air had slowly intensified and we had a huge table canopy shading us. We ordered an up-sized extra value meal and got a free coca cola can glass.

We scoffed a good amount of burgers and fries and sipping enormous glasses of coke before heading off to Universal Studios.
