Instead of staying in Hyatt City of Dreams Manila, we chose this time to stay at the newly opened Nobu Hotel, the first Nobu Hotel in Asia. It's a two-tower, 321-room boutique co-owned by world renowned chef Nobu Matsuhisa and partners include Hollywood actor Robert De Niro.

We were able to avail their special introductory rate (Php 10,888 per night) for the Nobu Premier. The 42sqm room features contemporary and traditional Japanese artwork, very nice layout, wonderful bed and a beautiful bathroom with a teak bench and Natura Bisse designer toiletries.

There's the complimentary fruit platter as welcome amenity, courtesy Ikaati premium tea sachets and the in-room minibar is stocked with sake, Japanese beer, gold label and juices.

I don't know how HB and I started doing this staycation during holiday season, I guess they happen naturally without us ever realizing it. Anyway, stay tuned for part two! ;)
