Today is my birthday. My first birthday without my Beloved Mother. I may have a number of siblings and close friends, but my Mother was by far, my very Best Friend. I'm the youngest, so maybe that explains why I'm so fond of showing affection to my mom and I can't explain how close I was to her.

I'm missing her sweet voice now, as she would always find time every year to call and greet me. She would always offer a thanksgiving mass as one of her birthday gifts for me. I was just thinking today about how truly blessed I am to have such a wonderful mother.

As the days go by, I'm a feeling a little bit better now because I know my mother wants my family to move on, to brush away the sorrow and the tears, to be happy where she is now and to always remember her with a smile for she is now resting in peace in heaven.
