8,888 CHINESE NEW YEAR

Hello gorgeous peeps, I hope your weekend was great! I'm happy to tell you that HB and I spent our Chinese New Year at Diamond Hotel Manila. We took advantage of their Chinese New Year Room deal for Php 8,888 (yes that's right, they even chose the number 8 for its luckiness). The package deal includes an overnight stay in a deluxe room inclusive of dinner and breakfast buffet for two at Corniche. Not bad at all, right?

Stepping into the lobby, we were instantly greeted to an elaborate Chinese Lucky Tree.

They upgraded our room to the Diamond Hotel's executive floor - the Diamond Club which is located at the 24th floor. Unfortunately, it was only the room but not the special privileges. Sigh!

On a happier note, Diamond Hotel guests are given complimentary mini bar such as bottles of mineral water, bottles of tea drink, and cans of soda (Royal Tru-Orage and Sprite), pack of biscuits, coffee sachets and tea bags. And also welcome fruit platter. Yes, freebies!!! :)

There are also mini bar items for sale.

Additionally, room features a high-definition LCD television, Ipod dock and unlimited broadband access. You can also spend your time playing Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS Lite or Sony PlayStation for first two hours for free, after which, corresponding charges will apply. However, we didn't try this.

Bathroom is a decent size.

I especially love the beautiful scent of the Lanvin parfums bath and body amenities.

On top of that, we enjoyed the view of the spectacular Manila Bay and the charming Roxas Boulevard from our room.

What I don't like are the chocolate tones and dark decors adorning the room. It lacks liveliness. Anyhow, you might like what I don't like. We all have different preferences.

Diamond Hotel is located at Roxas Boulevard cor. Dr. J. Quintos St., Manila, Philippines.

I'll be blogging more about this. So, stay tuned! ;)
