Resort World Manila Part 2: Maxims Tower Hotel

The next morning was a very early start where we headed to Maxims Dining. Breakfast is included in the room price. But there's a setback I reckoned, buffet breakfast was quite basic with a limited selection of food. It wasn't the kind of buffet that I would expect for a six-star luxury hotel. Even HB didn't eat as much as he normally would.

I was itching to check-out the pool which is just near the restaurant. Hotel guests have access to Maxims infinity pool with cabanas. Unfortunately, it was terribly cloudy and humid out that day which explains why the pictures turned out hazy.

Then we walked around the hotel for a little bit.

We headed back to our room and relaxed for a while. An hour later, HB decided to take a quick tour of the mall.

It was only later that we learned Holy Mass was celebrated inside the vast open space of The Plaza at the Newport Mall. If you wish to attend the mass and you happen to be at Resort World Manila early morning on Sunday, you know where to go.

There are four premium cinemas at Newport Mall. But we never get to check out the Newport Ultra Cinema 1, which I'm anticipating but I guess that will be for next time. This is different from the ordinary cinemas because it has fully reclining seats, enclosed private cubicles for couples, and offers unlimited popcorn and drinks.

The time has come for our weekend hotel-cation to end. But we did get another complimentary hot tea served in the lobby lounge when we checked out. It's always a plus when guests receive complimentary so I thought I'd mention it.

Aside from a few small glitches, all in all it was a nice stay at Maxims Tower Hotel.
"Resorts World Manila is the newest destination in the Philippines. This entertainment and lifestyle hub houses Maxims Tower Hotel, the first 6-star, all-luxury suite hotel in the country; Marriott Hotel Manila, a five-star lodging brand; and the upcoming Remington Hotel which will offer basic services and affordable amenities."
And on the subject of accessories I posted last week, click here.
