HB and I love to take a weekend vacation in a local hotel, so it's really great to feel like we're both in this together. It's like playing tourist in our own town that definitely satisfies our travel cravings. It's been a long time since we've traveled out of the country or done much sightseeing. Maybe that's because traveling abroad can be quite tiresome at times. In the meantime, I guess "staycation/hotel-cation" and "online shopping" will be taking a central role in our lives. :)
South is clearly on its way up, with the number of new establishment rises, we discovered another treasure of this place called Acacia Hotel. It's a five-star luxury hotel that offers a touch of authentic Filipino hospitality. It's tucked away in the heart of the business and commercial center of Filinvest Corporate City in Alabang.
We were able to get a Deluxe King accommodation with breakfast for two at a discounted price through the Philippine Travel Tour Expo held at the SMX in SM Mall of Asia last February. We enjoyed a lazy weekend of watching movie, eating delicious meals and too much napping. :))
There's large comfy bed, 40" LCD TV with cable, free Wi-Fi, daily local newspaper and mini-fridge. Deluxe Rooms are good value but I think it's worth paying a little extra for the the next room category. Hopefully we'll get the Junior Suite next time we visit.
