MIDAS HOTEL
SHARE THIS ARTICLE:HB and I had an opportunity for an overnight weekday stay at Midas Hotel. Thanks to his aunt who gave us this free accommodation. We were pleasantly surprised, the interior of hotel lobby was totally different from the old Hyatt. The first things you'll notice when you step inside are the floor to ceiling shelves with custom-made orange boxes that look like Hermes boxes.
And yes, there are Hermes handbags on display. Ah, if I could only have a Midas touch for a day. Instead of turning things into gold, I wish anything I touch will be mine like these two gorgeous Hermes handbags. haha I covet! I covet!
Okay back to the hotel, among its most striking features are the Italian designer furniture and a fiber optic chandelier that give some classy feel.

They gave us iced tea and we loved them.
Our simple room was well furnished with a comfortable bed. I do appreciate a private balcony in the guestroom, although sadly we had a view of the gloomy rooftops and a hospital rather than the famous Manila Bay.
Lots of bread!
When it comes to wait-staff, I don't like them standing by near the table. It's like they're watching you take your every bite. :) I prefer the courteous wait-staff who leave you alone unless you call them.
The hostess who led us immediately to our table was nice and polite. She always greeted us with a smile. I don't know her name but I took a picture of her (she's wearing a long dress).
Alright, our room was simple and the view was a tad lackluster but I do think we still had a wonderful stay at Midas Hotel. I love the food, the bed and my favorite Korean channel. In regards to room, get the upper floors, they might give you a room with a better view.
