Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen

HB had been craving authentic ramen and luckily we got the chance to try some of the delicious noodles at Alabang Town Center. Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen has been established and run since 1970 from Yamagoya Ramen of Japan specializing in Chikuho noodles, Tonkotsu soup, Gyoza (Dumplings) and Chashu roast pork.

We ordered bowls of YUZU-TAMA tonkotsu (P380) and Ajitama Tonkotsu (P380). It is said that Tonkotsu ramen is a very popular regional style of ramen from Kyushu region in Japan characterized by thin, straight noodles in rich creamy pork broth.

YUZU-TAMA tonkotsu is flavored with yuzukosyo, one of the spices that the kyushu region of Japan is known for.
Ajitama tonkotsu is topped with a special half-boiled egg that is fully marinated with a special blended soy sauce base.
However, it was too oily for my taste but the flavor was pretty good. The portion of the noodle soup was just enough. But for HB it was inadequate to fill up his dinner so he ordered another bowl of Spicy Tobanjan Tonkotsu (P380).

They don't accept take-outs. So be ready to dine-in at the restaurant. The ramen bowls range from P280 to P400. Ikkoryu Fukouka Ramen is a nice place if you're looking for a yummy bowl of authentic ramen.
