I heard a lot raving about the Two-way Pork Adobo Ribs but it didn't quite measure up to our expectations. It was just okay, nothing really to rave about. However, the presentation was charming.
Two-way Pork Adobo Ribs Php 547.00 (Tender Pork ribs braised in Juanita's secret adobo sauce and topped with crispy pork flakes.) |
The Sinigang soup was flavorsome since the waiter let us taste first the soup before it was served at our table. I love that they put a lot of veggies.
Fresh Corned Beef Sinigang Php 532.00 (Sinigang is a delicious Filipino soup consisting of native vegetables in a sour broth made from the tamarind) |
The combination of green mango and shredded catfish was perfect.
Catfish Mango Salad Php 308.00 (Thai style crispy shredded catfish on green mango salad) |
The small slice of Fish Fillet with Kare-Kare sauce was cooked and seasoned to perfection.
Fish Fillet with Kare-Kare sauce Php 439 (Pan grilled fish fillet on a bed of native vegetables drizzled with Juanita's famous Kare-Kare sauce) |
We also tried to order Grilled Tofu with Pesto & Greens but it was out of stock. The home-style desserts of Cafe Juanita looked appetizing but I had to ignore it since we still have two scrummy cakes in the house waiting to be devoured. I can even hear them calling out our names with enchanting-like sweetness. :)
