Raffles Makati Luxury Hotel

Raffles Makati is one of the most wonderful hotels you could expect to stay at. Inside, the lobby treats you to its majestic crystal chandelier, plush velvet chairs and floor to ceiling book shelves. I'm pretty sure you must have spotted the presence of a Christmas tree around the lobby. Yes so sorry I'm late in blogging. We stayed there just before New Year. :)

A bellboy accompanied us to our room, together with a front desk staff and a butler who did a quick tour and explained the room facilities in details. So all in all there were three people in our room. We felt like royals with servants. hahaha But then again, we are simple folks and not at all accustomed to this kind of service. It's a 5-star hotel I know. But still, it feels kind of pretentious. We like the freedom of checking in to our room without anyone accompanying us unless we ask for help. Probably not everyone will agree with me, but to each his own. And I'm not complaining. Just saying. ;)

Anyway, our suite is huge and opulently furnished, giving a cozy and restful ambiance. It is truly a fusion between the timeless quality of old world charm and new world sophistication. The suite features a bedroom, living room/dining room and a bathroom with bathtub.

Guests can expect luxurious hotel toiletries from Bvlgari which make you smell really good. ;)

We received welcome fresh fruit platter on arrival and sweet macarons as turndown amenity. We truly appreciate and pay attention to any extra little gestures like these.

Room rate comes with buffet breakfast at Spectrum located on the ground floor. The buffet spread offers a bit of everything from local to international dishes but nothing to rave about. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary afternoon tea, evening canapés and cocktails at the Writer's Bar but sadly we didn't try that. Instead we had dinner at Lugang Café which is just a walking distance from the hotel.

The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools. The small one is exclusive use to Raffles guests only, and the other larger pool is accessible for Raffles and Fairmont hotel guests.

We had absolutely no problem with the location. It is centrally located within walking distance to Landmark, Glorietta and Greenbelt shopping areas.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Raffles Makati is situated at the corner of Arnaiz and Makati Avenues. Please take note that the hotel has a private underground walkway that provides guests with direct access to the nearby shopping malls. This exclusive passageway is located in basement 1 and is open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily.

Till next time,
