♨ Red Ginger Restaurant Manila

Red Ginger is a great place to enjoy a fabulous meal or a drink any time from morning until the wee hours. So when we happened to be in the area of City of Dreams Manila, this restaurant became the obvious choice. After a few minutes of waiting we were ushered to our table and thoroughly perused the menu and decided to have Honey and Tamarind Glazed Pork Belly and Lemongrass and Forty Gloves of Garlic Chicken Wings, both from the Wood Fired Charcoal Grill. These dishes are served with fragrant Jasmine Rice and trio of sauces such as Sambal belakan with crispy anchovies, Sweet soy sauce with red onions and calamansi, and Green chili and eggplant relish.

HB and my elder sister opted from the main entrees such as Nasi Goreng Jakarta (consisting of shrimp paste fried rice, chicken satay, fried egg, crackers and pickled vegetables), and the Stir Fried Squid and Pork Belly with baby corn, chili, crispy basil and salty egg yolk.

Everything was cooked to perfection with just right amount of spice and flavor. And we all enjoyed our food without a calorie overload. However, desserts like cakes and cookies are not to our liking, some are just dry.

Try Red Ginger if you're craving for Southeast Asian dishes. Breakfast sets, main entrees, wood fired charcoal grills and side vegetables/salad are all available in the a la carte menu. They have few juices (I like their chilled Cranberry), but if you're a casual drinker their extensive list of alcoholic beverages will definitely not disappoint you.

Red Ginger is located on the upper ground floor, between Casino Gaming and Retails areas, City of Dreams Manila, Aseana Boulevard corner Macapagal Avenue, Brgy. Tambo, Paranaque City.

Till next time, asian traveler
