Odaiba, A Total Family Entertainment (Throwback)

Odaiba is a popular shopping and entertainment district on an artificial island in Tokyo Bay. You'll be surprised to see a very familiar face here. It's none other than the iconic Statue of Liberty (yes, a replica of Statue of Liberty in Japan), standing about 11 meters tall from the pedestal, overlooking Tokyo Bay and Rainbow Bridge that looks like the Brooklyn Bridge. For a few seconds, I thought I was in New York!😃

Odaiba has a great view of the bay, and pleasant walks through the decks. Nearby is the Fuji TV Building with a giant ball suspended in the structure. Meanwhile, we went to a shopping mall called Aqua City Odaiba to have some quick lunch. (Watch the clip.)

Then we walked to Decks Tokyo Beach, a shopping mall featuring various stores, restaurants, and multiple indoor entertainment, including the Tokyo SEGA Joypolis. We paid Y500 (per adult) for the entrance ticket only. It was Y800, but we got a Y300 discount. If you want admission plus the unlimited rides, you can splurge on a Y4,500 One Day Passport (price as of October 2020). If you plan to get on the rides, try the Halfpipe Tokyo, Transformers Human-Alliance Special where you spin 360 degrees, and Veil of Dark. (Watch the clip.)

We spent most of our time enjoying the Space Interactions. We had lots of belly laughs, and it was so much fun. Tokyo Joypolis is an indoor three-story amusement arcade featuring virtual arcade games and fun rides based on Sega intellectual properties.
