Experience the Fun and Fitness of Aqua Cycling at Villa Marcelina Beach Resort

It was one of those days where you just need to escape the city and find a little peace. That's exactly what I found at Villa Marcelina Resort in Calbayog City, Samar. It's a bit hidden, so having your own car or renting a tricycle is a must, but it's totally worth the mini-adventure getting there.

The entrance fee was only PHP 75, which is nothing for the slice of tranquility you get in return. We rented a cottage for PHP 500, which was our base for the day. Breakfast was simple yet satisfying: corned beef, eggs, and rice with a cup of coffee for PHP 130. It's the kind of meal that reminds you of mornings at home.

But the real treat was the Aqua Cycle Water Trike. Aqua cycling, also known as water biking, takes your workout to a refreshing new level. Imagine pedaling on a stationary bike submerged in water – it’s like cycling through a serene aquatic world!

The buoyancy of water reduces impact on joints, making it an excellent low-impact exercise option. Plus, the resistance from the water engages your muscles more effectively.

It looked so easy and effortless, just pedaling along on the water. And it was—at first. But to really get moving, you have to pedal... a lot. It turns into quite the workout for your legs! We paid PHP 600 for an hour, and every minute was a blast. It's not just about the exercise; it's about the laughter and the novelty of the experience.

Listen up, landlubbers!  If you’re not a fan of full-on water immersion (or if your swimming skills are more like synchronized flailing), fear not! The Aqua Cycle is here to save the day. Yes, you can hop on this aqua bike without a splashy baptism. No need to dive headfirst – just pedal away while keeping those sneakers bone-dry.

Swimming lessons? Pfft, who needs 'em! Aqua Cycling doesn’t discriminate. Whether you’re a mermaid-in-training or a certified land potato, you’ll still have a blast. You can grab that water bike, channel your inner aqua superhero, and spin your way to dry-water glory!

Just when I thought Villa Marcelina couldn't get any more enchanting, the ocean surprised us with a delightful spectacle. As we lounged by the shore, a small school of fish darted through the clear waters, weaving a dance of life right before our eyes. 🐟

It was like being in a live aquarium, where not only the fishes but also we, the observers, became a part of the serene tableau. Watching these joyful little creatures swim so close, unfazed by our presence, was a gentle reminder of the harmonious coexistence we share with nature.

This unexpected encounter added a layer of magic to our beach day, making it clear that Villa Marcelina is more than just a resort—it's a window into the vibrant world beneath the waves.

After an hour of pedaling the Aqua Cycle Water Trike , I felt a symphony of sensations. My feet were buzzing from the workout, and my hips ached—a little memento from disembarking awkwardly and stretching my feet in an unintended ballet of sorts. Yet, despite the physical reminders of my aquatic escapade, my heart overflowed with joy. It was the kind of contentment that comes from embracing new experiences, even if they leave you with a funny walk and a story to tell.🌞

There's a small caveat to keep in mind. The shoreline is sprinkled with rocks and pebbles, which can be a tad uncomfortable underfoot. It's a minor hiccup in an otherwise idyllic setting, so I recommend bringing water shoes to navigate the pebbly patches with ease. This way, you can stroll along the beach and bask in the beauty without a worry!

As we left, our legs were tired but our spirits were high. Villa Marcelina Resort is one of those places that's not just about the beautiful location; it's about the fun and the memories you make. I can't wait to go back and pedal my way across the water again.
