A Day at SVD Laudato Si' Farm: Divine Nature and Delightful Bites in Tagaytay
SHARE THIS ARTICLE:Nestled in the cool, breezy city of Tagaytay, SVD Laudato Si' Farm or SVD Farm offers more than just a breath of fresh air. Managed by the dedicated Society of Divine Word priests, brothers, and missionaries, this 5.8-hectare haven is a fusion of faith, food, and farming that invites visitors to experience a slice of pastoral bliss.
As you enter the gates, the serenity of the place immediately embraces you. The farm is not just a place to unwind; it's a spiritual retreat with a chapel that stands as a testament to the community's faith. The Virgin of the Poor chapel's architecture is a marvel, blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings, inviting visitors to pause and reflect.

But the SVD Farm is not just about spiritual nourishment. It's a place where your taste buds can embark on a journey too. The on-site SVD cafe and pizzeria serve up a variety of treats that are sure to delight. Imagine savoring a slice of pizza, with its gooey cheese and fresh toppings, right in the heart of nature. And let's not forget the traditional Filipino delicacies! The steamed bamboo puto bumbong and charcoal bibingka are a must-try. The subtle smokiness infused in the bibingka from the charcoal is a unique culinary experience that shouldn't be missed.
The farm also serves as a testament to sustainable living. Visitors can purchase fresh vegetables and plants, all grown with care by the SVD community. It's a great way to support local agriculture and take a piece of Tagaytay's bounty home with you.
Facilities at the farm are well-maintained, with a spacious parking area, and a pet-friendly environment, ensuring a comfortable visit for all family members, including the furry ones.
While the farm offers a multitude of delights, it's worth noting that during our visit, the service at the cafe was slower than anticipated. The wait for food dampened our spirits slightly, but it's a small hiccup in what was otherwise a wonderful visit. We hope that the management will address this feedback to perfect the experience for future guests.
